Tirumala: In a big move, TTD has cancelled categorization in VIP Break Darshan tickets with immediate effect, said TTD Trust Board Chief YV Subba Reddy.
The Chairman of TTD Board of Trustees, along with TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and Tirumala SO AV Dharma Reddy held a press conference at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Wednesday.
The Chairman said, under the instructions of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who directed to give priority to common pilgrims by providing them more darshan time, ensuring hassle-free darshan, the decision to cancel L1, L2 an L3 darshans has been implemented from Wednesday itself. However, the Chairman said, since it may take a couple of days to develop the new software, the new system of VIP break darshan will come into effect in the next two days.
The Chairman also cleared that because of this decision, there will be no problem to protocol VIPs. But at present, the over three hours are being consumed for VIP break darshan only. This will be reduced to half of the time in a phased manner”, he added.
Over the alleged controversy fuming around Chairman Camp Office at Amaravathi, clearing the air, YV Subba Reddy said that when a temple of TTD is coming up at the state capital there is every need to have an Information Centre of TTD. “We have Information Centres at all the main cities like Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Chennai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, etc. Then I felt the need to have one at Capital City also and it is not for my Camp Office”, he clarified again.
Over Sannidhi Golla issue also, the Chairman said, the hereditary rights of Sannidhi Golla will be protected as per the tradition of the Tirumala temple.
