Hyderabad: TTDP president L. Ramana and party’s politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy on Sunday announced that party’s senior leader Kiranmayee will be its candidate for the by-election at Huzurnagar Assembly constituency.
TTDP leader R. Chandrasekhar Reddy said that they had decided to contest in the upcoming by-elections at Huzurnagar Assembly constituency. He said that the decision to contest was taken after receiving feedback from the party leaders of seven mandals and two municipalities falling under Huzurnagar Assembly constituency limits.
Reddy made it clear that the strength of party was not its leaders but its workers. He also said that they were not fighting the elections to support or oppose anybody and added that their objective was to bring back the lost glory of the party. Citing that problems are not new to the party, he said that the TDP was strong under the leadership of its president Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
