Hyderabad: In order to educate the government school kids about the IT industry activities and other aspects of the IT offices in Hyderabad, Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has organized an industry toor for the Gadwal students. It was the extension program of the Gadwal Digithon Digital Yatra held in the previous month. During the digital yatra, techies from Hyderabad stayed with students and trained them on various IT skills.
The Industry Tour was organized on Saturday in city which was attended by the 89 students belonging to 45 different schools of 12 Mandals from Gadwal district. Teachers also accompanied the students. The students were selected by the Innovation Clubs organized during the Digithon Digital Yatra.
The Industry Tour was organized in two sessions- in the morning session (9 to 1 pm) the students were trained over Robotics and nitty-gritty and then they were asked to work on possible solutions for rural problems in the afternoon session.
In fact, the students were given a detailed insight of the IT industry, IT offices including T-Hub and others. They were also taken to Cyber Towers, Phoenix Arena and other offices along with techies. During the tour, a South Korean IT expert Lee explained about the education system in his country to the students.
Only those topics of Robotics were incorporated in the tour which can be understood easily by the school kids. Students of the delegation who performed well after the tour were rewarded with prizes. TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala on this occasion said that his organization was very much committed to educate the government school kids. He said, “The IT Industry Tour was organized in extension to the Digithon Digital Yatra in the previous month. We will organize such tours and literacy programs for other districts in coming days.”
He said that TITA wanted to improve the IT knowledge and skills among the school kids hence organized the event with Robotics as the subject.
