Hyderabad: TPCC former president Ponnala Laxmaiah on Wednesday called upon party leaders and workers in the State to strive to ensure victory of party candidates in the ongoing local body elections. He said victory of the party leaders was essential to put an end to dictatorial rule in the State.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, Ponnala alleged that the ruling party created a crisis in all the villages by not giving cheque power to the sarpanches even four months after their elections. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao turned the State debt-ridden and encouraging political defections indiscriminately in the State.
He exhorted the people to teach a fitting lesson to the Chief Minister, who has insulted BR Ambedkar. He also exhorted the unemployed youth to teach a lesson to the CM who has not yet started the unemployed wage scheme to them even after five months of coming into power.
