Hyderabad: Even as the strike by the RTC employees entered the 17th day today,  RTC JAC convenor Ashwathama Reddy   accused the government of hatching a conspiracy to loot the RTC assets and give contract to KCR’s relatives and friends.

Speaking to the media,    Reddy slammed the Chief Minister,  K Chandrasekhar Rao for defying high court orders to call them for talks and for payment of salaries to the employees. The Chief minister has promised to treat the RTC employees as government employees and failed to do so,  he charged.  He appealed to the  people to help protect RTC assets from the hands of the ruling party leaders.

All political parties and Tamil Nadu transport workers are  supporting our strike,  he said. ‘We need to protect public transport system and the assets of the RTC’ Reddy said. Despite the court orders,  the KCR government is ignoring the plight of striking employees who are  on roads,  he fumed.

Reddy asked the striking RTC employees to be united and fight until the government comes down to heed to their demands.
