Hyderabad, Jet Airways Employees suddenly find themselves without any life support. Naresh Goyal, the Central Government, the Banks and various other airlines are talking about anything and everything except continuing employment of these employees. This is “ease of doing business” – nobody considers the liability of the employees, least of all the Central Government under Modi. It is a known fact that many of the airlines are struggling to remain afloat because of the high fuel prices, for which the Central Government is entirely responsible. AITUC expresses its solidarity with the Jet Airways employees, who are made to pay the heavy price for the Central Government’s policies. AITUC demands that the concerned employees be absorbed suitably in Government jobs, but the Government should not pressure the public sector banks to bail out private entities like the Jet Airways, IL & FS etc. when it refuses to lift a finger for its own BSNL.
