Make payment to stocks procured: Niranjan Reddy


Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today directed officials concerned to provide all help to farmers and give them MSP to their farm produce. The minister called a meeting in Secretariat and reviewed on the farmers issues in the state. He discussed on procurement, arrangements and godowns to stock the produce and bills payment to the farmers. He directed the officials to avoid delay in payment of the bills to the farmers on procuring their farm produce. The minister also asked to computerize the details of the stock being procured and make immediate payments online. The officials should coordinate to serve the farmers in a speedy manner. Fill up the godowns of Nabard with stocks of farm produce and ensure timely payment of the money for the farmers he said. The minister also asked to complete the construction of the godowns and collect market fees.
Niranjan Reddy directed to take steps to shift Malakpet Onion Market to Patancheru, Gaddi Annaram market to Koheda, Khammam Mirchi Yard to Maddulapally and build new markets wherever required. He also said that a new market yard will be built in Wanaparty and sought project report for the same. Niranjan Reddy said to set up 40 more vegetable markets to provide fresh vegetables with reasonable prices in addition to 60 available in the city.
