Mumbai Indians had a wobbly start when they managed only 2 points in their first 3 games. While they lost their opener to Delhi Capitals, they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore only to succumb to defeat against Kings XI Punjab in their 3rd match. Just when it looked like MI were going to go through another rough season, Rohit Sharma’s men pulled up their socks and delivered consistent performances, winning their next three matches.
MI are yet to lose two matches on the trot in IPL 2019. The 3-time champions qualified for the final with a direct berth after beating Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1on Monday. More importantly, Rohit’s side was heading into the final on the back of a 3-match winning streak.
