Hyderabad: The brutal murder of a veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy in the city appears to be coming to its logical conclusion. The police have made a significant progress and four suspects in the case were nabbed. The police are suspecting that the accused kidnapped Priyanka Reddy near the toll Plaza and took her to secluded place to rape her and subsequently kill her.
The police have said that Mohammed a native of Jakkulare from Makthal mandal of Mahbubnagar district was the prime accused in the case. They also said that the names of the other suspects were Naveen, Shiva, Chennakesavalu . The police have already arrested the four accused in the case while the other accused was absconding. They also said that the age of all the accused was less than 25 years. They also identified the Lorry with number TS07UA3335, used by the accused. They found that the Lorry belonged to one Srinivas Reddy, a native of Rajendra Nagar. They said that the prime accused Mohammed was working as the lorry driver. The crime was committed in the area located behind the toll plaza.
The doctors have said that the victim was murdered in the early hours of morning. They also said that Priyanka Reddy was burnt alive by pouring kerosene over her body. They further said that the body of the victim was burnt for one hour. They have also found injuries on the head of the victim. The police have also apprehended two more accused hailing from Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh state. The police were suspecting that the accused took the victim to Thondapalli Junction in their DCM van to commit rape on her. They also suspect that the victim was later taken to chatanpally bridge to burn her body.
Meanwhile the father of the victim Sridhar Reddy demanded the state government to impose strict punishment on the accused for murdering his daughter. He also said that no parents of the state should face such experience in their lives. They said that had the police reacted immediately following their complaint, they could have saved their daughter. On the other hand, the chairperson of national commission for women also reacted on the brutal murder of the victim. The chairperson of the commission Rekha Sharma said that they were taking up the case suo Moto and sending a member of the commission to carry out the enquiry in the issue. She demanded capital punishment for all the accused in the case. Meanwhile the State Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy visited the residence of the victim and consoled her family members. She said that the state government would take all steps to see that strict punishment was given to all the accused in the case.
