Hyderabad: A group of trained teachers and Physical Education Teachers including women today staged protests at Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, by staging a dharna seeking jobs by release of results for TRT and PETs in the state.
There was tension as the protests caused traffic jam on Begumpet route. They got into an argument with police who tried to prevent them. They were taken into custody later.
Earlier the trained teachers shouted slogans for recruitment of teachers and PETs. They demanded the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to conduct recruitment drive and offer jobs by releasing results of the tests conducted so far. The government gave notifications for posts of teachers and PETs in 2017.
Though tests were conducted, results are not declared so far, they deplored. The agitated group has sought the government to release results and give jobs by taking immediate measures. ‘We will intensify our protests if the Chief Minister failed to respond’, they warned.
