Hyderabad: A major fire erupted in Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi’s farm house at Kokapet on Friday morning. A film set of his ongoing project “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” was gutted in the fire. However, nobody was injured in the fire mishap.
The employees of the farm house vainly made Herculean efforts to save the property from fire. Local Fire Services tenders rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. It is said that property worth Rs 3 crore was reduced to ashes. The shooting of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan was also cancelled due to the fire mishap.
The cine workers, who were preparing the set for a shot scheduled for Saturday noticed the fire and alerted the Fire Services department and the police. The Fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire. In his Facebook post, Chiranjeevi’s son and film producer Ram Charan, said, “Unfortunately, a fire broke out on our ‘ Sye Raa’ set in Kokapet earlier this morning. Thankfully, everyone in the team was safe and no one was hurt. We are really looking forward for our last schedule to finish.”
“Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” is a biographical film based on the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who revolted against atrocities of East India Company 10 years before the Sepoy Mutiny in the 19th century.
