Centre taking steps to prevent Cyber crimes: Kishan

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy today said they were taking effective steps to prevent cyber crimes in the country. Safety, security and women protection were their top priorities in the country, he said, adding that they have also strengthened security at the international border with the use of science & technology.
Addressing a conference held here on All India Cyber Security Image Processing program here, Kishan Reddy said they were collecting details about cyber criminals across the country. He said they have also linked all the police stations in the country with the server of the Union government except Bihar. He said there was a need to use smart cards by the people due to the increase in the number of cyber crimes. The Union minister said a lot of details need to be learned about cyber security and cyber terrorism in the country.
