Hyderabad: The budget session of Telangana State legislature is all set to begin from Monday. The State cabinet, which met here today, approved the annual budget proposals ahead of the session. T Harish Rao, who was inducted into the cabinet today and allotted finance portfolio is likely to present the budget in the Assembly.
The budget session is likely to be stormy as the Opposition leaders were sharpening their arsenals. While the ruling party was trying to secure consensus of all political parties for the unanimous approval of the budget, the three Opposition parties in the House like the Congress, the TDP and the BJP are gearing up to corner the State Government on several public problems.
CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had already made it clear that they would corner the State government on several issues like farm loan waiver, shortage of urea, unemployment wage to the unemployed, corruption in the execution of irrigation projects, PPAs and failure of the State government in the implementation of several poll promises.
The BJP is likely to raise the issue of Telangana Liberation Day celebration on September 17 officially and also other burning public problems. The TDP, which has only one MLA in the House will also raise several public problems. The budget session is likely to be held for ten days till September 19.
