Hyderabad: Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today said in the Assembly that the new municipal act will help rapid development of civic bodies by involving people and using technology.
Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy passed the Municipal Act replacing the old six acts to pave way for speedy development with a focus on transparency. Earlier KTR said the new act is to be implemented on the lines of TSIPASS to support all round development in municipalities and corporations. The government will bring in to fore the citizen friendly governance, KTR said.
“Due to old acts, we are not able to implement development programs in the civic bodies,” KTR said. “Since the city has grown to significant extent, we have to provide improved and better facilities by involving people and using technology, he said. The new act will replace the outdated acts and focus on development, the municipal minister said.
