Hyderabad: IT Minister KT Rama Rao today condemned the heinous murder of veterinary Doctor Priyanka Reddy near Hyderabad. In a  twitter,  the minister said that he is personally monitoring the case.  He hoped the  DGP and police will nab the animals involved in the crime and deliver Justice to the victim’s family. 

        Those in distress should call 100 for help,  he said.

HM grieves Priyanka’s murder, assures effective preventive steps

Hyderabad: Home Minister Mahamood Ali today expressed grief and pain at the murder of Veterinary Doctor Priyanka Reddy. He said Priyanka should have rung up the police for protection instead of her sister during the incident.  “If she called the police, they would have protected her”, he felt. 

Mahamood Ali consoled the family members of the victim and extended sympathies to them. “The government will punish those involved in the crime with iron hand”, he said. He also promised that necessary patrolling and deployment of police personnel at needed places will be made. Ali also said CP Sajjannar was looking into the murder case and will punish the guilty, he said.

Earlier, Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav met with Priyanka’s family members and consoled them. He said the State government will offer a job to a person in Priyanka Reddy’s family. The government will take all steps to prevent such barbaric incidents in future, he added.

New Delhi: Condemning the heinous murder of Veterinary Doctor Priyanka Reddy on the city outskirts on Thursday, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy today said the culprits should be hanged to death as per the new law. 

Speaking to the media at the Parliament House, the minister said such crimes should be prevented by taking effective measures. He also said those involved in the crime should be punished severely. The Centre enacted strict laws to punish such criminals with death, he added. 

The Union minister asked the advocates not to defend such criminals in the courts. He reminded that the Modi Government brought about laws to hang such criminals to death. He extended sympathies to the family members of the victim. He also said the Centre would issue an advisory to all the States to prevent such grave crimes in future.
